Winners of the Contest “The Greatest, the Dearest” Announced

The Agency for Youth Affairs held a ceremony to recognize the champions of the national stage of the competition “Eng ulug’, eng aziz” (The greatest, the dearest), which was dedicated to the 32nd Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan. The event was jointly organized by the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the Writers Union, the Cinematography Agency, the National Media Association of Uzbekistan, the Republican Creative Union “Tasviriy Oyina”, the Academy of Arts, the Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA, and the National Television and Radio Company.

Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan Kholmurod Salimov, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications Dilshod Saidjanov, Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA Abdusaid Kuchimov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers Gayrat Majid and other speakers noted that such competitions inspire creative workers to work more diligently.

The competition accepted entries in seven categories: “Journalistic works of employees of the print media”, “Materials of employees of television and radio”, “Internet journalism”, “Journalistic books on non-fiction topics”, “Fiction works of writers and poets”, “Works of fine art, photographic works and design works”, “Works of cinema art”.

In total, approximately 1,700 creative works from 345 contestants were received at the national stage of the competition, which was based on the noble idea “In the name of a new life, in the name of New Uzbekistan!”.

The winners were recognized at the event, and a concert was held with the participation of art masters.
