The Fujairah Open Tournament, a WT G2-category taekwondo championship, recently ended in Fujairah, UAE. Uzbekistan’s female athletes achieved great success, bringing home one gold and five bronze medals. Svetlana Osipova won the gold medal in the +73 kg category, while Madina Shoniyozova (46 kg), Zukhra Tojimatova (46 kg), Laylo Khasanova (49 kg), Shabbona Abduvaliyeva (57 kg), and Ozoda Sobirjonova (67 kg) all earned bronze medals. Additionally, Uzbekistan’s male team members also performed well, with Jasurbek Jaysunov (80 kg) winning gold, Najmiddin Qosimkhojiyev (74 kg) taking silver, and Yodgorbek Juraboyev (74 kg) earning bronze. Overall, Uzbekistan’s national team finished the tournament with a total of 2 gold, 1 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
