Uzbekistan’s competitors participated in the team events on the last day of the WT Taekwondo Championships held as part of the Chengdu World University Games.
Uzbekistan’s female national team defeated the US team in the first round, the Chinese Taipei team in the quarterfinals, and the South Korean team in the semifinals. In the battle for the gold medal, they faced the representatives of China. Unfortunately, they were not able to win the match and earned silver medals.
Also, the men’s national team lost to the South Korean representatives in the first round.
