During an official visit to Germany, a delegation from Uzbekistan, which included representatives from Mikrokreditbank and female business leaders led by Zulaykho Mahkamova, Chairperson of the Family and Women’s Committee, held several productive meetings. These meetings resulted in the signing of documents aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in women’s entrepreneurship. This visit was organized with the assistance of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Development e.V. and the Uzbekistan Embassy in Germany, with the goal of developing partnerships and exchanging knowledge in financial literacy and business management.
The Uzbekistan delegation also met with representatives from various German organizations, including the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Rural Women’s Association, and the Savings Banks Finance Group. They also had the opportunity to learn about the operations of several banking structures.
As a result of the visit, important agreements were signed. These include joint programs between Mikrokreditbank, Hamroh, and the Sparkassenstiftung Foundation to improve women’s financial literacy, develop business planning skills, and assist in obtaining targeted loans. Additionally, educational programs and financing mechanisms will be implemented, including grants and subsidized credit lines.
An agreement was also signed between Hamroh and the West-Östliche Begegnungen Foundation, which aims to promote intercultural dialogue, women’s leadership, and their participation in socio-political processes.
The participants believe that these agreements will lay a strong foundation for the sustainable development of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan and strengthen international partnerships in the socio-economic sphere.
