During his visit to Parkent district, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev observed the tourist complex at the top of “Oltin Bel” and several new projects. A modern hotel complex has been constructed on a three-hectare mountain slope, consisting of two hotels, compact capsule-style houses, a restaurant, and utility facilities. The next phase of development includes the construction of 20 additional similar dwellings. The President personally inspected the facilities provided for visitors at the hotel. The overall plan for the region’s tourism sector includes 52 projects worth $1.8 billion, which will create 3,300 new jobs and serve up to 1 million visitors annually. The snowy mountains of Parkent also present an opportunity for a large-scale project, with the construction of a 1,200-hectare ski resort in collaboration with an Austrian company. The project includes the development of three-, four-, and five-star hotels, ski slopes, lifts, chalets, picnic areas, restaurants, and wellness centers. The project will be completed in three phases and can accommodate up to 15,000 tourists per day, with around 600 service facilities and 10,000 new jobs. It is expected to become one of the largest tourist destinations in Tashkent region, comparable to the well-known “Amirsoy” complex in Bostanlyk district. During a meeting with specialists, measures were discussed to refine the project, expand the range of services offered, and accelerate construction work. UzA.
