The Uzbekistan State Symphony Orchestra, comprised of 86 musicians, gave a remarkable performance as part of the 26th International Festival of Dance and Music in Bangkok. This was a significant occasion, as it marked the orchestra’s debut at the festival, which has been held annually since 1999.
The concert, held at the Thailand Cultural Centre, was attended by approximately 2,000 audience members, including high-ranking officials from various government ministries such as Justice, Foreign Affairs, and Culture, as well as representatives from the Fine Arts Department of Thailand, diplomats, and members of the media. Conductor Kamoliddin Urinboyev led the orchestra and received a standing ovation for their performance.
In addition, the musicians from Uzbekistan also conducted a masterclass for young musicians in Thailand, including those with disabilities, and participated in a cultural event held at the Consulate General of the Republic in Bangkok.
A commemorative book album dedicated to the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan was published, and an agreement was made to ensure their continued participation in future editions of the international festival.
