President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Sadyr Zhaparov toured the Khiva Gilamlari carpet factory.
The factory, established in 2020, produces 4.2 million square meters of carpets and carpet products each year. These products are exported to various countries including China, Russia, the United States, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries.
Today, the modernly equipped plant employs 750 people and utilizes cutting-edge technologies from leading European countries.
The presidents were given a tour of the production process, the factory showroom, and an exhibition of products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand.
The relevant ministries and agencies were instructed to exchange knowledge and foster cooperation and trade.
