The 2019 World Para Athletics Championship, held in Kobe, Japan from May 15th, has concluded.
In a competition with over 1000 para-athletes from 103 countries, the Uzbekistan national team has won a total of 13 medals, including 7 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze, placing 3rd overall.
This is a remarkable accomplishment, especially compared to their 10th and 9th place finishes in previous world championships, showcasing significant improvement and dedication to their sport.
Additionally, Nurkhan Gurbanova and Asila Mirzayorova have broken world records in their respective events, demonstrating their exceptional talents and setting new standards for para-athletics, inspiring future generations.
These victories are a direct result of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s unwavering support and attention to the Paralympic movement, which has played a crucial role in the success of our athletes.
