The novel “The Legends of Great Silk Road” written by renowned author, screenwriter, and public figure Gulchekhrabegim Makhmudova was presented at the Uzbekistan Embassy in London.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Tumaris Women’s Public Association in the UK, aims to promote Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and raise awareness of the significant role of the Great Silk Road among the British community.
The attendees, including members of the Uzbek diaspora, cultural figures, and local residents, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening cultural connections and international dialogue.
The book, available in English, offers an artistic perspective on the legends, historical events, and cultural customs associated with the Great Silk Road. According to the author, the publication aims to generate global interest in Uzbekistan’s diverse historical and cultural heritage.
This project is another step towards enhancing Uzbekistan’s positive image abroad and fostering humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
