DUSHANBE, 02.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – According to the Road Map signed between the Ministries of Agriculture of Tajikistan and Russia for 2024-2026, Tajikistan will export agricultural products to Russia while importing 50,000 tons of oilseeds from Russia in 2024. This was announced by Minister of Agriculture Kurbon Hakimzoda during a press conference yesterday.
The Minister highlighted that in 2023, Tajikistan exported 287,000 tons of agricultural products, which is 14.7 thousand tons or 5.4% more than the previous year.
Minister Hakimzoda also mentioned that the first shipment of oilseeds is expected to arrive in February.
In 2023, the agricultural production in Tajikistan reached 63028.4 million somoni, marking a significant increase of 109.0% compared to 2022.
