Showcasing the Trade, Tourism, and Investment Opportunities of Uttarakhand

An event was held in Tashkent to showcase the potential for trade, tourism, and investment in Uttarakhand, India. The event brought together representatives from the business communities of Uzbekistan and India, as well as government officials and industry experts. The Embassy of India in Tashkent organized the event to introduce the economic and tourism potential of Uttarakhand to participants. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Ambassador Smita Pant of India to Uzbekistan were present at the event and encouraged entrepreneurs and tourists to explore the region’s opportunities in various sectors, such as tourism, medicine, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, handicrafts, and education. They also highlighted the academic partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and Samarkand State University. Ambassador Smita Pant described Uttarakhand as a beautiful state known for its Himalayas, rivers, and hill resorts, and emphasized its rapid development in various industries. In his online address, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the potential for business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Uttarakhand. The event also included a presentation on Uttarakhand’s investment policies and tourism potential, and concluded with a concert program organized by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture.
