At the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Dushanbe, President Berdimuhamedov suggested launching an Energy Dialogue between Central Asian countries. He noted that energy is a vital part of the economic structure of the region and that Turkmenistan is willing to supply its natural gas and electricity to the other nations of Central Asia and through their territories to foreign markets on agreeable terms.
The leader of Turkmenistan proposed creating a five-sided interaction as a way to promote long-term cooperation between the states. He expressed that this would be an appropriate means to foster the Energy Dialogue of Central Asian Countries.
