Recently, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan paid a visit to Yangi Bunyodobod mahalla in Sergeli district to assess the state of the area. This residential area houses over 6,000 people, and it has been equipped with modern amenities such as 13 apartment buildings, education and sports schools, and a consumer service center and sewing factory.
The President conversed with the sewing enterprise workers, praising them for their dedication and the opportunities they have been given to grow the business. He also highlighted the importance of taking care of women, saying, “Why do we focus on the welfare of women? Because it is for the benefit of the family, children, and future generations.”
The citizens’ assembly has been further improved with the addition of a library and language courses. Additionally, the landscape of the mahalla has been enhanced, with renovated playgrounds and sports grounds. In the past two years, there have been no criminal activities reported.
The President issued instructions to district leaders regarding the expansion of socially beneficial projects and preparations for the forthcoming autumn-winter season. He also discussed the issue of providing employment opportunities to the youth and organizing their leisure time through cultural and sports activities with the chairman and activists of the mahalla.
