Ambassador Ashraf Khojayev, representing the Republic of Uzbekistan in the State of Qatar, received a delegation from Namangan. During the meeting, they discussed establishing cooperation between the Akhsikent Archeological Park and the National Museum of Qatar, as well as organizing scientific exchanges between the National Library of Qatar and the Center for Rare Manuscripts of Yangi Akhsi within the Akhsikent Archeological Park. They also reached an agreement to collaborate with the Qatar Foundation on creating the Akhsikent Archaeological Museum and conducting scientific-archaeological work.
The Doha Cultural Festival is a significant event that showcases Qatar’s national arts and traditions, providing a glimpse into the country’s rich history. The festival will feature musical and dance performances, photography and art exhibitions, and will take place at the Katara Cultural Village in Doha. Traditional and rare crafts will also be demonstrated by skilled artisans in the pavilions.
The National Museum of Qatar, opened in 2019, covers a span of four thousand years of the country’s history. The museum’s 11 sections include the flora and fauna of the region, with advanced technologies allowing visitors to experience the sea and desert through their senses. The museum also showcases the traditional dwellings and nomadic lifestyle of the Qatari people, as well as jewelry, expensive suits, and weapons from Qatar’s political past.
