The city of Namangan is currently hosting the International Junior Tennis Tournament J60, which is part of the official competition schedule of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Along with athletes from Uzbekistan, the tournament includes participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, and China. In the first round of the boys’ singles event, Nuriddin Bakhtiyorov from Uzbekistan emerged victorious over neutral athlete Nikita Kletsov with a score of 6:0, 3:6, and 6:1, securing a spot in the round of 16. Today, Sukhrob Saidov will take on Artem Svetlov (neutral athlete), Abdurakhmon Karimov will compete against Artem Sidorov from Kazakhstan, and Abdulaziz Usmonjonov will face Timur Dautov (neutral athlete). In the girls’ singles matches, Zlata Chinnova from Uzbekistan will be playing against Safina Khabibrakhmonova from Kyrgyzstan, while Nigina Alimova will face Sara Khamitova from Kazakhstan.
