Tashkent to host the 150th IPU Assembly

For the first time ever in Central Asia, the city of Tashkent will be the location for the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. This highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place from April 5-9, 2025 at the Congress Hall in Tashkent. With an estimated attendance of 2,000 delegates from 180 countries, 15 observer states, and over 25 international and interparliamentary organizations, this assembly is set to make a significant impact. The main theme of the assembly will revolve around “The Parliamentary Movement for Social Development and Justice”. Discussions will focus on crucial issues such as poverty reduction, promoting decent working conditions, supporting social inclusion, and increasing the involvement of marginalized groups in decision-making processes. The outcome of the assembly will result in the adoption of resolutions by the Union and the Tashkent Declaration. This event is proudly organized by UzA.
