On Friday, Cheil Worldwide Inc. reported that its third-quarter net profit had increased by 2.5 percent to 66.2 billion won (US$49.1 million). The company also stated that its operating profit was 93.4 billion won for the quarter, which was the same as the year before, while sales dropped 4.2 percent to 1.07 trillion won.
The earnings exceeded predictions, as the average estimate of net profit by analysts was 63.8 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
