SEOUL, Oct. 27 (Yonhap) — Hyundai Mobis Co. announced a third-quarter net income of 998.1 billion won (US$736.8 million) on Friday, a 78.3% surge from the same period last year.
The South Korean automotive parts supplier reported an operating income of 690.2 billion won, a 19.8% increase from the year before, with overall revenue rising 7% to 14.23 trillion won.
The results exceeded market predictions. According to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, the average estimated net profit was 843.5 billion won.
