In a statement released on July 16, the World Bank announced that Tajikistan’s economy has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years.
The statement highlighted that Tajikistan’s economy saw a remarkable growth of 8.3% in 2023 and 8.2% in the first half of 2024.
The World Bank attributed this growth to increased income from domestic exports, improved infrastructure, balanced monetary policies, inflation control, and effective collaboration with international partners. Additionally, the country’s external debt has also been reduced.
The statement also addressed potential risks and threats related to the global economy and Tajikistan’s trading partners. The World Bank provided recommendations to address these risks, which the Tajikistan government officials have stated will be carefully considered and implemented.
