Malaysia was the host of the Asian Track Cycling Championships for both youth and adults. The Uzbekistan national team stood out with an impressive performance, securing three gold and five bronze medals. 
Samira Ismailova, a cyclist from Uzbekistan, achieved two gold and two bronze medals. Of particular note, she broke both continental and world records for youth in the individual pursuit race, completing the 3,000-meter distance in just 3:46.800.
