At the 2nd Turkic Universiade held in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, the Uzbekistan delegation earned 36 medals, consisting of 15 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze, and took first place in the team event. The competition featured student-athletes from Central Asian countries, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan, competing in volleyball, chess, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, and table tennis.
