Uzbek Chess Masters Shine at Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival

Uzbekistan’s chess players were triumphant at a renowned chess tournament in the United Arab Emirates. The 29th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival featured competitors from 40 countries. Grandmaster Shamsiddin Vakhidov and Javokhir Sindarov both achieved success.

The blitz group had 217 participants, with Shamsiddin Vakhidov taking the top spot with 10 points in 11 rounds. Javokhir Sindarov earned 9 points and placed third. Islombek Sindarov, who participated in the Blitz Under 16 group, scored 10 points in 11 rounds and came in second among 255 competitors.

The third conference on intellectual property of the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative was successfully held in Beijing, with the participation of a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Justice Muzraf Ikramov. The conference, organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), focused on strengthening regional cooperation in intellectual property and exploring ways to promote innovation and creativity through financial opportunities. The participating countries agreed to prioritize openness, solidarity, mutually beneficial cooperation, and the development of intellectual property within the Belt and Road Initiative. Norgul Abduraimova from UzA also attended the conference.
