The Pitch Day competition was held in California, United States. The Tecnas team from Uzbekistan was awarded the Social Impact Award, the highest recognition for projects that have contributed to solving social issues. This team was comprised of participants in the Technovation Girls Uzbekistan program, an initiative backed by Yandex Go that focuses on unlocking the potential of women. This victory has been acknowledged on an international level.
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva expressed her pride in the girls’ achievement. She stated that this success demonstrates their capacity, determination, and courage. Furthermore, Mrs. Narbayeva highlighted that the girls were awarded for the best project to tackle current social problems, and that their involvement in such matters is commendable.
