The Tashkent Museum is a modern establishment that showcases the history of the ancient city. Located in the former Exhibition Hall of Culture and Art building near the Alley of Litterateurs, the museum was established in response to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit there. It is a branch of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan of the Academy of Sciences, created according to the resolutions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers.

The museum contains information about the city’s past and present, from the time of the first settlements to the present day, and it is an important educational tool for teaching young people about their national pride and patriotism. The Tashkent Museum is equipped with modern technologies and electronic boards, and its nine sections tell the story of the Stone Age, the late Bronze and early Iron Ages, the period of antiquity, Zoroastrianism, and the arrival and spread of Islam.

The museum also showcases Tashkent’s ancient history, traditions, art, and culture, as well as the activities of historians and archaeologists. It also contains information about the 12 gates of Tashkent, the activities of world-famous people who lived and worked in the city, and the national crafts of the region. The museum is constantly replenished with new exhibits and objects, and it is essential for the study and research of Tashkent’s history.
