The Tashkent International Investment Forum is expected to be attended by 8 thousand delegates

Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov briefed media representatives.

According to Mr. Asadov, this week will see several significant events in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and economic landscape. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has already held discussions with the Slovak Republic’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, and the partnership between Uzbekistan and Slovakia has been elevated to a strategic level. Today, the President will also hold talks with the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. The Tashkent International Investment Forum, which begins today, is expected to be attended by 8 thousand delegates, including approximately 3 thousand foreign guests from 100 countries. The participants include President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria, Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda of Tajikistan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev, as well as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the New BRICS Development Bank Dilma Rousseff, and others.

During the forum, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will share his views on the main principles of cooperation and the direction of Uzbekistan’s trade, economic, and investment program, taking into account the impact of global security challenges on the global economy.

The forum will also feature a national exhibition and the Third Plenary Meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 11.
