The President of Uzbekistan Promotes Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Russia

On July 24, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, had a phone conversation with Valentina Matvienko, the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Matvienko warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him health, prosperity, and further success.

The two noted with satisfaction the active inter-parliamentary contacts and exchanges between Uzbekistan and Russia, which contribute to the strengthening of their friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance.

The third conference on intellectual property of the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative was successfully held in Beijing, with the participation of a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Justice Muzraf Ikramov. The conference, organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), focused on strengthening regional cooperation in intellectual property and exploring ways to promote innovation and creativity through financial opportunities. The participating countries agreed to prioritize openness, solidarity, mutually beneficial cooperation, and the development of intellectual property within the Belt and Road Initiative. Norgul Abduraimova from UzA also attended the conference.
