On June 9, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with a delegation of prominent U.S. companies, on the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. The attendees included U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Eric Meyer, Chairman of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Vice President of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Bethany Brez, as well as senior executives from companies such as Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola, and others. The President expressed his satisfaction with the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan. The meeting focused on potential investment and innovation partnerships, as well as concrete projects in critical materials, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors. Executives of the U.S. companies expressed their gratitude for the favorable conditions for investor engagement in Uzbekistan and shared their specific proposals and plans.
