The President of Uzbekistan advocates for strengthening a partnership with the UAE in the field of artificial intelligence

On January 14, during his visit to Abu Dhabi, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates, Omar Sultan Al Olama, as part of the business program. The meeting was attended by the heads of Presight Thomas Pramotedham, AIQ Magjan Kenesbay, and Khazna Hassan Al Naqbi, as well as the President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Eric Xing.

Presight, AIQ, and Khazna are renowned companies in the field of big data analysis and artificial intelligence, while Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence is the world’s first university dedicated to research in this field.

The discussions at the meeting focused on ways to strengthen strategic partnerships with UAE companies in order to advance technologies and successfully implement them in various industries. Agreements were made to enhance cooperation in developing generative artificial intelligence, including utilizing large language models in the energy sector and establishing a large data processing center in Tashkent.

Special attention was given to increasing collaboration with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. The President of Uzbekistan suggested launching a student training program and creating a roadmap for training highly skilled professionals in this field.

The parties also discussed plans for joint research laboratories, technology clusters, and the implementation of innovative solutions for contactless payment transactions.
