The Monument of Independence serves as a powerful symbol of our nation’s long struggle for freedom and the enduring values upon which our state was founded. It is a testament to the rich history of our people and pays tribute to our great scholars and military leaders. At the top of the monument stands the proud Humo bird, with its wings outstretched, representing peace, freedom, kindness, and prosperity.

During an official visit to Uzbekistan, the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, visited the New Uzbekistan Park. Accompanied by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, the distinguished guest laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and learned about the park’s history. He was also briefed on the monument’s depictions of great scholars, outstanding commanders, and Jadid ancestors.

The delegation was particularly impressed by the unique and harmonious design of the New Uzbekistan complex, which features well-maintained green spaces, seasonal flowers, rare trees, a musical fountain, and an open-air amphitheater.

Today, the main events of the visit will take place, including negotiations between the leaders of the two countries, official and business events, and the signing of bilateral agreements. The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, will also participate in the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
