The 32nd Anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan is being celebrated across the nation with various events and spiritual and enlightenment meetings under the motto “For a new life, for a New Uzbekistan!” On this occasion, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued decrees to award many compatriots, representatives of various spheres, and civil servants with honorary titles and state awards.

The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a ceremony to honor a group of activists with state awards. Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, Mr. Ismailov, welcomed the attendees and mentioned that workers from different fields have been presented with state awards during the festivities. He also pointed out that the awarding ceremony is taking place in the parliament for the first time.

A solemn awarding ceremony was then held for a group of citizens who, through their bright talent and extensive creative, scientific-practical, and technical activities, have contributed to the development of Uzbekistan, the strengthening of independence, and the continuing reforms towards the creation of a New Uzbekistan. The speakers highlighted the significance of presenting high state awards on the eve of the most important holiday of Uzbekistan.
