DUSHANBE, 18.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The 39th Governing Council meeting of the Green Climate Fund, held in Incheon, Republic of Korea from July 15 to July 18, has approved the proposal to implement the Community Agriculture Support Project (CASP+).
The project agreement was signed on July 18 by Bahodur Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan, Salohiddin Kirom, Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Republic of Korea, Henry Gonzalez, Deputy Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, and Roberto Longo, Country Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The main objective of the project is to facilitate the transition to sustainable development by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and introducing climate-resilient methods of agricultural production.
The project is fully funded by the Green Climate Fund and will be implemented by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The Green Climate Fund was established in 2010 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to support developing countries in addressing the impacts of climate change.
