On 15-17 November, the city of Tashkent will be the venue for the 28th International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TITF-2023). This information event will give a platform to promote tourism products and establish business contacts and cooperation ties. Since 1995, the fair has been supported by the UNWTO and has become a popular gathering of hundreds of professionals in the tourism industry, encouraging the development of the sector at an international level.
Last year, the fair was organized for the first time in its history based on a public-private partnership without the need for budgetary funds. Representatives of 300 companies participated, and around 7 thousand contracts were signed. Over a period of three days, the fair was visited by more than 11,000 people.
This year, it is expected that TITF will bring together international experts in the tourism business, and benefit leading tourism and transport companies, renowned hotel chains, the diplomatic corps, and educational institutions in the tourism sector. National stands from France, the Czech Republic, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, India, Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and China will be present. Additionally, representatives from Georgia, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, and Singapore have expressed an interest in taking part.
The event will include an international forum, B2B meetings, presentations of regions in Uzbekistan with potential for tourism, and masterclasses from local and international chefs. It is estimated that up to 15,000 people from the CIS countries, Asia, and Europe will attend the forum. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about tourist destinations, cultures, and traditions of different countries, and appreciate the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
