Tajikistan’s Economic Development Rate Is 8.2%

In January-June 2024, Tajikistan’s economy grew by 8.2%, with a gross domestic product of 61.7 billion somoni. This information was announced on July 29 during a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, stated that the growth of the national economy during this period was primarily due to increases in industrial production (11.5%), agriculture (9.6%), fixed capital financing (15.7%), trade turnover (11.9%), paid services (16.6%), cargo transportation (13.8%), passenger transportation (9%), and foreign trade turnover (29.3%).

Rahmon also highlighted that the inflation rate for this period was 1.9%.

Furthermore, it was reported that the state budget income plan for January-June 2024 was exceeded, with a total of 21.2 billion somoni collected, which is 1.5 billion somoni more than the planned amount.
