SEOUL, Sept. 12 (Yonhap) — Samsung Electronics Co. declared Tuesday that it will be investing one million US dollars into Texas A&M University’s programs and recruitment initiatives to foster talent in the semiconductor sector.
The South Korean tech corporation inked the partnership with the engineering school last week in an effort to secure specialists for its semiconductor businesses, especially in Texas, where its Austin and projected Taylor factories are located.
The partnership project will concentrate on developing talent in semiconductor production by offering scholarships to undergraduates and fellowships reserved for graduate students, as well as various other academic support programs, the company said.
