Qatari Leaders Visit Bukhara to Invest and Learn About its Culture and History

Former Prime Minister of Qatar, Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, and the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, journeyed to Bukhara. The delegation was given a tour of the Bukhoro Agroсluster LCC, which was established with an investment of $6.2 million. The complex utilizes Italian and Russian machinery, and is capable of processing 22 thousand tons of milk each year, producing more than 40 types of products. The group was also informed of the laboratory that was set up in the complex, which is equipped with German technologies to measure the salinization level of agricultural fields in the region. The visitors were also shown the Ark Fortress and the Poi-Kalon complex, two of the city’s most renowned historical and cultural monuments. Plans for constructing a modern hotel complex in Bukhara with Qatari investments were also discussed. The head of Bukhara region, Botir Zaripov, accompanied the delegation throughout the tour.
