Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye Discuss Matters on the Bilateral Agenda

The Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan convened in Budapest to address issues related to the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and the expansion of multifaceted collaboration between the two countries.

The officials expressed satisfaction with the frequent contacts and exchanges taking place in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level. Moreover, the figures of mutual trade have grown significantly since the Preferential Trade Agreement came into effect on July 1st. The number of joint ventures has exceeded 2.5 thousand.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye welcomed the plans of the leading companies of both countries to invest in priority sectors of the economy. In addition, they discussed the schedule of bilateral and multilateral events, including the preparation for the next meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, the upcoming summits of the Organization of Turkic States and the Economic Cooperation Organization this year.
