President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has looked over the plans for reducing joblessness in Bukhara region. During his visits to the various regions, the Head of state has made it a priority to tackle the issue of unemployment and has set the goal of decreasing its level as a primary task for the leaders. Targeted employment programs are now being implemented in all regions.
In Bukhara region, there are more than one million able-bodied citizens, of which 76 thousand are without a job. Every year, 37,000 young people enter the labor force. Bearing this in mind, it is planned to eradicate unemployment in Bukhara region between 2023 and 2025.

There are plenty of potential solutions to this problem. For example, in Bukhara, there are 11 cotton-textile and grain-growing clusters. It is planned to generate 94,000 jobs in industry and agriculture, with 19,000 of those coming from home-based work.
In the mahallas, 57 micro-centers are planned to be opened in industry, handicrafts, home-based work, animal husbandry, trade, and services. In 98 mahallas with high unemployment, small sewing workshops are intended to be organized.
The opportunity to put 15,000 hectares of sown areas into circulation this year was also noted. These lands will be made available to the public to create new dehkan farms through an open electronic competition. Proposals have also been suggested to auction off state assets and create jobs.

It was highlighted that, in total, these measures will create 250 thousand jobs this year. By 2023-2025, Bukhara region will become a region with full employment.
During the presentation, information was also provided on the project for organizing an IT Cluster in Karakul district in cooperation with India.
The Head of state approved the proposals and gave additional instructions.
