President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan proposed intensifying ties in the fields of medicine and sports at the Summit “Central Asia — Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf”.
The Head of State noted that the development of collaboration in healthcare is a pressing issue and a number of important initiatives in this sector have been put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
“To turn these initiatives into reality and to promote medical diplomacy, we suggest holding the Medical Congress of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in Ashgabat in 2025,” the Turkmen President emphasized.
The Turkmen leader also pointed out that the issue of establishing a partnership in physical culture and sports is of great importance.
“Organizing the First International Sports Games of the Central Asian States and the Gulf Cooperation Council could be the first step in this direction. We believe that such games should be open to all, and Turkmenistan is ready to provide modern specialized infrastructure for this event and ensure the best possible conditions for the participants of the Games,” said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
