The President of Uzbekistan visited Secondary School No. 32 in Oqdaryo district of Samarkand region. The nation’s Constitution established the establishment of a social state in Uzbekistan, with education being given priority attention. In addition to constructing new educational establishments, there is a strong focus on enhancing the quality of education.

This year, school No. 32 underwent a major renovation. The school is designed for 782 students, and modern amenities have been provided in 22 classrooms, a gym, a canteen, a STEM laboratory, and computer science classrooms. The library contains more than 1.5 thousand art books.

As is well known, teaching young people at least two foreign languages and one modern profession is defined as the main direction of reforms in school education. On the unused territory of the school, additional premises were built from lightweight structures, and conditions were created for teaching 15 different professions. Students receive initial skills in IT, maintenance, weaving, hairdressing, cosmetology, pottery, and wood carving.

The President visited these courses and talked with children participating in summer clubs. “We are expanding the coverage of higher education. However, not everyone chooses to study at the university. Therefore, we aim to ensure that our children start learning foreign languages and professions from school. A person who has mastered at least one profession will not be lost. He can further work on himself and improve his skills. Therefore, our goal is to create decent conditions for every young person”, the Head of state said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also talked with teachers and labor veterans.
