President Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan Suggests Establishing a Council of Central Asian Nations on Innovations

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, proposed the formation of a Council of Central Asian countries on new technologies during the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Dushanbe. He remarked that the interests and goals of the states in the region need to be secured and implemented through advancements and innovations.

The President of Turkmenistan highlighted the potential of the nations in the area to reach innovative growth, as well as the scientific schools and technological developments that are present. He suggested combining these advantages, sharing experiences and knowledge, and encouraging youthful creative initiative to create the most favorable conditions for the development of knowledge.

He then proposed the creation of a Council of Central Asian Countries on New Technologies, which would coordinate joint efforts in this direction. The Council would serve as a think tank to form a unified strategy for the states of the region on new technologies, make relevant recommendations, and develop specific proposals.
