LG Organizes Annual Gathering to Cultivate Innovative Startups

On Thursday, LG Group held a yearly event to nurture and back up emerging startups.

Forty businesses from various areas, including AI, biotechnology, and clean tech, which LG selected as future growth fields, were present at the occasion to showcase their services and technologies, and seek out future partnerships. Zkrypto Inc., a developer of a blockchain application powered by zero-knowledge proof (ZKP), was one of the attendees. Its zKvoting, the first public blockchain voting app to use ZKP, was among the honorees of CES 2023 Innovation Award.

Basgenbio Inc., a clinico-genomic cohort data-based research and development company, was also one of the forty participants.

At Superstart Day 2023, which will last until Friday, LG revealed the successes of nine companies from its startup incubation program. The event also featured international expansion strategies and investment attraction sessions.

Superstart Day, which started in 2018 and takes place in LG Science Park in western Seoul, has already attracted 260 startups from 26 countries.

LG provides promising startups with office spaces and consulting services on relevant laws, marketing, and finance.

“We will speed up our movement to prepare for the future by continuing to look for and cultivate startups with fresh ideas and innovative technologies,” Park Il-pyong, president of LG Science Park, said.
