During a telephone call, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, discussed various topics. The President of Uzbekistan extended warm congratulations to the Russian Leader and the diverse population of Russia on the upcoming national holiday – Russia Day. The two leaders also talked about strengthening their countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, as well as expanding their multifaceted cooperation in accordance with previously made agreements during high-level meetings. They also gave special attention to implementing coordinated measures to maintain mutual trade and support industrial cooperation projects. The importance of continuing active exchanges and practical cooperation at the regional level was emphasized. Furthermore, they expressed deep satisfaction with the regular cultural events held in both Uzbekistan and Russia.
