At a meeting in DUSHANBE on 15.09.2023, the leaders of Central Asian nations put their names to five documents aimed at promoting cooperation in the region, one of which was the Agreement on Enhancing Land Transport Links in Central Asia.
The purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate sustainable collaboration in Central Asia in the area of transport and logistics.
The document also strives to create a beneficial environment for the expansion of international transportation via land transport, ensuring a competitive landscape in the transport services market in Central Asia, raising efficiency and the formation of new international corridors, embracing multimodal corridors, streamlining the transportation and transit process over land, development of modern transport and logistics services, implementation and exploitation of advanced technologies, particularly digitalization of the transport process, encouragement and growth of the practice of utilizing eco-friendly transport modes.
