Lin Wu, Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Shandong province, visited Samarkand and met with Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov and other representatives of both countries to discuss potential collaborations.

Mr. Wu’s primary goal was to form a connection between Shandong and Samarkand and he proposed to do so with long-term plans. During the meeting, the participants discussed how to implement the cooperation and Erkinjon Turdimov suggested to take advantage of Shandong’s extensive knowledge in poverty alleviation, industrial development, agricultural production and processing, and metallurgy with the help of Shandong’s businesspeople in Narpay and Pakhtachi districts.

The two regions have all the necessary conditions and further opportunities will be created in accordance with the law. Wu expressed his willingness to implement concrete plans for the digital economy, agriculture, industry, and utilities.

The responsible persons have been instructed to create specific plans and implement them. Later on, the delegation, accompanied by Erkinjon Turdimov, visited the Great Silk Road International Tourist Center. The Shandong Province delegation’s visit is still ongoing.
