In recognition of his immense individual efforts in fortifying the national autonomy of Turkmenistan, the concepts of neutrality of the nation in the era of the Reawakening of the new epoch of a powerful state, and for his extraordinary services to the state and society in the dynamic growth of our democratic, legal and secular country by introducing new initiatives, improving political and socio-economic transformations in a new period of development of our country, democratizing the life of our country, and implementing positive changes that bring about a dramatic transformation of our native Fatherland in a new era, honoring the elderly in line with the principles inherited from our ancestors, teaching the youth to love and be devoted to the Motherland, reinforcing the international standing of our Motherland with initiatives geared towards strengthening cooperation, friendship and brotherhood between states and peoples for the sake of progress and peace, for his services in reinforcing the unshakable pillar of statehood established by our Hero Arkadag, carrying on the meaningful principles of the new era, and for his consistent and purposeful activities to enhance the glory and dignity of our beloved Fatherland, as well as to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, in accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 81 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan has decided to bestow the President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov Serdar Gurbangulyevich with the highest honor – the title of Hero of Turkmenistan, along with the presentation of the gold sign «Altyn Aý».
