Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Participated in a Business Breakfast Meeting of Heads of Delegations in the “Central Asia + Germany” Format

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Berlin, was present at the meeting of heads of delegations in the “Central Asia + Germany” format, which was held in the form of a business breakfast and chaired by the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were also in attendance.

At the beginning of his speech, Hero-Arkadag warmly welcomed the heads of delegations from the Central Asian countries and expressed his gratitude to the head of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for organizing such a significant event that would contribute to the growth of the mutually beneficial partnership between the states of Central Asia and Germany.

Turkmenistan welcomed the initiative to create a new multilateral format and is willing to expand the partnership in all areas of common interest. The countries of Central Asia have a shared goal of developing interaction in order to create a better environment in the region and ensure the well-being of the people in our countries. In this context, it was noted that security, socio-economic development, ecology, and humanization of international relations are the most pressing issues.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people firstly noted the global interconnectedness of economic development. Nowadays, the system of world economic relations suggests not only the integration of the economies of different countries, but also the coherence of the work of many of its components, such as energy, transport, the financial sector, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and green technologies.

The high-level meeting also included a discussion of the development of cooperation in the environmental, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
