Delegation from the World Bank Inspects Social Protection Institutions

The representatives of the World Bank delegation inspected the National Center for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics for Persons with Disabilities and the Inspectorate of Medical and Social Expertise in Tashkent’s Almazar district. They reviewed the facilities, the services offered, and the system of providing the population with prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation.



The visitors also visited a family house of mercy in Uchtepa district and familiarized themselves with its activities and the conditions for accommodating children.


During the meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the National Guard, they discussed the issues of social protection of minors and the development of social services for children in need of social security. It was noted that a monitoring system for childcare services for children from vulnerable population categories should be established.
