Between August 11-13, the Baymaksky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation was the venue for the Bashkort Aty International Horse Festival. Representatives from Jizzakh region joined the event. The main focus was on the growth of horse breeding and equestrian sports, as well as agro-ecotourism. Team sports competitions and games, cultural and educational exhibitions were organized.
Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh region was invited to the festival by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Deputy Hokim of the region A. Savurbayev headed the delegation. The nation was represented by the strongest riders, archers, and wrestlers of Jizzakh region.
The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Deputy Hokim of Jizzakh region Akmal Savurbayev had a meeting. During the meeting, an agreement was made concerning the joint development of the socio-economic, agrarian, and humanitarian spheres, culture, tourism, science, education, and sports between Jizzakh region and Bashkortostan.
