The Ferkensco Management Limited investment company, which is spearheading the project, has been allocated a 50-hectare plot for long-term use. The Karakulkimiyo Chemical Complex will have the capacity to produce up to 495,000 tons of ammonia and 594,000 tons of carbamide annually, making it one of the largest industrial enterprises in the Bukhara region. The production park will be equipped with 364 pieces of equipment, and the staff will be composed of more than 500 employees.
The project is co-sponsored by the Enter Engineering Group of Companies and the Swiss firm Casale S.A., which has provided services for designing and obtaining a license to use its technology for the manufacture of the chemical product. The development will enable cost savings in the production of ammonia and reduce the emission of hazardous substances into the atmosphere.
Construction of the Karakulkimiyo is planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, with the facility expected to open in January 2026. The total investment for the project is estimated at $600 million.
