Agriculture: Promising Initiatives in Action

Uzbekistan is working in conjunction with the French Development Agency to bring advanced foreign technology into livestock breeding and the processing of animal products, improve the material and technical base of farms and agricultural organizations, and raise their production potential.

The company has granted a loan of 100 million euros to advance the livestock industry in Uzbekistan in 2022-2026.

Representatives of the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Owners of Household Lands of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency in Tashkent discussed the implementation of the project “Financing the sustainable development of the livestock sector”, which is planned for a period of 5 years. The total cost of the project is 147.7 million euros.

“As part of this project, the council will launch several initiatives to promote animal husbandry”, says T. Sattorov, Deputy Chairman of the Council. – At the same time, the French Development Agency has provided a loan of 15 million euros to 80 farms operating in different regions.

Following the visit, both sides agreed on plans for collaboration in regional training centers for the production of livestock products, their processing, sales in the domestic and foreign markets, and the organization of training courses.
